I down loaded the Desk Top Toolbar from Tucows, it all went well and it now looks like I have a heap of exploring to do to investigate the 50 free general, network and URL tools that make up the tool bar.
As required I pinged the Blackboard site and it was much faster than I expected at 69 ms for the first ping. Pings 2 - 5 took much longer 1048596 not sure why this was.
